transversal .

<BAD = 70°

1 ) <ADE = <BAD = 70°

[ Alternate angles ]

2 ) In ∆RDE ,,DR extended to A,

Exterior angle <ARE =<RDE+<RED

= 70° + 40°

= 110°

iii ) <DRE + <ARE = 180°

[ Linear pair ]

=> <DRE + 110° = 180°

=> <DRE = 180° - 110°

= 70°
