1) Radius of sector, r = 3.4 cm
Perimeter of sector P-ABC = 12.8 CM
=> 2*r + l = 12.8
=> 2*3.4 + l = 12.8 CM
=> l = 6 cm
Length of arc = 6cm

2) Area of sector = length of arc * r/2
=> Area of sector = 6 * 3.4/2 = 10.2 cm^2

Answer:

10.2 sq cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given  radius of circle is 3.4 cm and perimeter of sector P-ABC is 12.8 cm. Find A(P-ABC).

radius of circle = 3.4 cm, perimeter of sector P - ABC = 12.8 cm

Let the length of arc be l.

So l + 2 r = 12.8

l = 12.8 - 2 r

l = 12.8 - 2(3.4)

l = 12.8 - 6.8

l = 6 cm

So area of sector A (P - ABC) = 1/2 x l x r

                                               = 1/2 x 6 x 3.4

                                          = 3.4 x 3

                                      = 10.2 sq cm
