In figure, if triangle PQR is isosceles in which angle Q = angle R
and LM || QR. If angle P= 40°, find angle LMR.

Let angle 'B' angle 'Q' be x

then ,

2x + 40 = 180. ( angle sum property of ∆ )

2x = 140

x = 70

angle R = angle PML. ( Alternate interior angles of parallel lines.)

So angle PML = 70°

angle PML + angle LMR = 180°. ( linear pair )

70° + angle LMR = 180°

angle LMR = 180° - 70°

angle LMR = 110°
