Solution:
We use Snell's law to find the angle of incidence.
So, we have,
n₁ sin θi = n₂ sin θr
From given, we have,
Refractive index = n₂ = 2
Angle of refraction = θr = 75°
n₁ = 1
θi = ?
1 × sin θi = 2 × sin 75°
sin θi = 2 × sin 75°
= 2 × 0.9659
∴ sin θi = 1.9318
Therefore, the angle of incidence is sin θi = 1.9318
