The area of the trapezium is 74.2cm^2.

• Given that : AB = 13 cm, AD = 8 cm and CD = 7 cm.

• Draw an altitude from C at AB and assume it cuts AB at point X.

• CX is the height of the trapezium.

• BX = (13-7)/2 = 3cm

• Now, by applying Pythagoras theorem in triangle BXC, we get-

height of trapezium, h = 7.42 cm

• We know that,

Area of trapezium = 1/2*sum of parallel sides*height of trapezium

• Area = 0.5*20*7.42 = 74.2cm^2.
