hey... it is very simple first thing u should know the meaning of sexual reproduction IE.. fusion of gametes but here in haploid organisms formation of gametes are done by mitosis where n= haploid when both gametes are fused a diploid condition is developed since the parent are haploid there is necessary of meiosis and zygote under goes meiosis and maintains chromosomal number.hope u understood
