The classification of the heat zones of the earth is done by Greek Scholar Aristotle. According to his classification, there are three different zones in earth arises due to the temperature difference. Even though, some of the concept was incorrect, his classification according to temperature difference is accepted. The various zones are Torrid Zone, Frigid Zone and Temperature Zone respectively. Again these three are classified in to north frigid zone, north temperature zone, south temperature zone, south frigid zone etc.

Torrid Zone- The Hottest Heat Zone

This region is the hottest one among the zones of the earth. Torrid zone is from north Tropic of Cancer (23.5º) to south Tropic of Capricorn (23.5º) across the equator. This region is uninhabitable due to the high temperature. However, the great civilizations were developed in that region.

Frigid Zone- The Coldest Heat Zone

This zone is permanently frozen zone among the three zones. It lies to north and south Arctic Circle (66.5º) and Antarctic Circle (66.5º) respectively. In this area there is no sun light for most of the months. However, it is very cold so many people are living in this region.

Temperature Zone- The Habitable Heat Zone

This zone is suitable for the human civilization to grow. There are two Temperate Zones in the Earth. These two are lies between Tropics of Arctic and Antarctic Circles. In this region, the temperature is moderate. Because of this tolerable temperature this is the convenient place on earth to live.
