ci/p=(1+r/100)^n
1324/4000=(1+10/100)^n
1324/4000=(1+1/10)^n
1324/4000=(11/10)^n
331/1000=(11/10)^n
(11/10)^3=(11/100)^n
n=3

Amount= Principal(1+r/100)∧n
and here points to be noted the word semi annually means  half yearly
so  rate gets halved and time period gets doubled.
Amount=5324
principal=4000
r=10/2=5%
n=2n
Put all these in the formula mentioned above.
and find the answer
