Though the human respiratory system is a complex system comprising of various organs that constitute the entire system however, the chief organ that forms the center of the respiratory system are the lungs.

It is the lungs where the oxygen is replaced with carbon dioxide.

The oxygen that is received in the lungs is then distributed to all parts of the body through the blood.
