In human beings the statistical probability of getting either a male or a female child is 50:50.Give a suitable explanation.Support your answer with a flow chart.

Since the male forms two types of gametes one with x chromosome and other with y chromosome in equal no there is 50%chance of male or female child.The gamete formed by female contains only x chromosome so only male gamete decides the gender child.If the female gamete combines with Male gamete having Xchromosome it results in female child and if it combine with male gamete having Y chromosome it results to form male child
