All dead organisms do not leave their fossil records, but in some cases their fossils are formed. How do these fossils records form a direct evidence of past happenings ?

Fossils are actually the biological remainings of the ancient organisms.It forms due to various geographical and biological factors and circumstances.

Due to the study and investigation of this fossils we can easily get a rough idea about the anatomical structures of the ancient organism which became the present fossil.

That's why fossils are important part of the biological studies.
