it is said that sex of a child is determined by the father not by mother because it is dependent on father that which  (x or y ) will be contributed by him and it is all dependent on genetic factors which a sperm contains

becuse father have x and y cromosome but mother have only xx cromosome

so father is resposabel for the sex of child
