In hydrogenation of unsaturated carbon alkene is converted to alkene in presence of platinum and raney nickel. What is the use of raney nickel in this when Pt is used as a catalyst?

divyanshgupta15cr7: Platinum is not used as catalyst. Instead Nickel (Ni) or Paladium (Pd) is used as catalyst
