in linear equation in 2 variable
how to know that from which side you have to solve equation example:
x+y=10
x-y=12
then, we add them
=2x=22
= x=11
now we will insert the value of x in any equation
=11+y=10
=11-10=y
=1=y
is wrong

Step-by-step explanation:

x+y=10 ....(1)

x-y=11 ....(2)

We want to add (1) and (2)

Therefore, 2x=22

x=11 ...(3)

Substitute (3) in (1),

Hence ,11+y=10

y=10-11

y=-1

The problem in the way you did that when you transferred the value of y in 11+y=10 to the left hand side you want to write it as 10-11 not 11-10 .
