prophase 1 is just initiation of meiosis- chromosome will start splitting.
metaphase 1 is where they are arranged at the centre with the help of spindle fibres.
anaphase 1 is where only the homologous chromosomes are pulled towards their opposite poles
anaphase 2 is where the centromere divides to form haploid chromosomes.
