"In micturition (b) Urethra relaxes
Micturition means the act of discharging urine out from the body.
Bladder afferent neurons send signals to the brain, when it is full which is felt as the urge to urinate.
When at suitable place and time, the parasympathetic efferent neurons are activated which causes the bladder detrusor muscles to contract.
Simultaneously, the somatic efferent neurons and the sympathetic efferent neurons are inhibited which causes the urethral sphincters to relax.
