Reason:

The entire happening in one heart beat of the human heart is called as cardiac cycle. Cardiac cycle happens in two phases namely contraction is also called as systole phase and Relaxation is also called as Diastole phase. An average heart beat in one minute is fixed as 72 beats. So, when we divide 72 by 60 we get one beat per second as shown below:

72/60=1.2 bps

If we divide 1.2 bps with one we get the value for one cardiac cycle as shown:

1.2/1=0.83 seconds

Hence, it can be inferred that the duration of one cardiac cycle is 0.8 seconds."
