In My question asked before "A bag contains 4 yellow and 5 red balls and another bag contains 6 yellow and 3 red balls. A ball is drawn from the 1st bag and without seeing its colour, it is put into the second bag. Find the probability that if now a ball is drawn from the 2nd bag, it is of yellow colour.", i was provided a link by meritnation expert 'Priyanka Kedi', I couldn't get my answer by following the link. (because I didn't get how and what was the value of A) so can you please explain me the answer!!!

Simple question!!!

The question may have 2 answers.

1. If the ball chosen from the 1st bag is yellow...

After this case, the second bag will contain 6 + 1 = 7 yellow balls and 3 red balls.

And the total no. of balls in it will be 10.

So the probability of taking yellow ball is 7/10.

2. If the ball chosen from the 1st bag is red...

After this case, the second bag will contain 6 yellow balls and 3 + 1 = 4 red balls.

And a total of 10 balls will be here too.

So the probability of taking yellow ball is 6/10 = 3/5.

There is no need to find the probability in the first bag. And even each ball is selected from the first bag, the probability in the 2nd bag does not change as it remains same.

Plz ask me if you've any doubt on my answer.

Thank you.
