Ratio of weight of Cu and CuO = 1.75 : 2.19 = 1 : 0.7990 ≈ 5 : 4
2nd method :- weight of Cu : 1.14g
weight of CuO : 1.43g
Ratio of weight of Cu and CuO = 1.14 : 1.43 = 1 : 0.7972 ≈ 5 :4
From method 1st and 2nd , it is clear that Cu combined with Oxygen with constant ratio. Hence, the given date is a illustration of the law of constant composition.
