In order to move a charge of 3C between two points on a conducting wire, 12J of work is done. How much increase or decrease in the voltage will increase the work done on the same amount of charge to 36J?

The potential difference(p.d) between two point in an electric circuit is defined as the amount of work done in moving a unit charge from one point to the other point. Hence, the work done in moving the charge is 24J.
