The first and foremost theme that the story, 'Indian heroes' concerns is what constitutes true heroism. The term hero generally refers to a remarkably brave person, who has an admirable quality such as great courage or strength of character; and one who fights courageously and selflessly, sacrifising a lot for others.
This story teaches us that, one does not always need to be a popular actor, a sportsman, a soldier or a politician to be a hero in real life. Even an ordinary person can become a hero, with his strength of will, wisdom and courage. it is these heroes that the story basically deals with. These characters whom we often find in our midst; the ordinary people, who become extraordinary because of their devotion to their duty, family and nation. This is how, the story brings out the meaning of True Heroism.
hope it helps.. :)))
