Answer:

In part one of “Cruel Tribute,” King Aegeus’s actions affect the advancement of the plot by: 3. He causes the birth of a hero in Troezen.

Explanation:

‘Cruel Tribute’ is an old and famous tale of Greek Mythology. In the story there is a mighty king called Aegeus. He angers the mighty king of Crete-Minos for no fault of his. Minos seeks revenge and threatens to kill Aegeus’ son in the same manner as his son had been killed. Since the Athenians did not know the existence of his son, King Minos struck a deal that he should be send seven of the noblest youths and seven of the fairest maids of Athens every year to be sacrificed to the monster Minotaur.

Unknown to all, King Aegeus did have a little son. A hero had been born at Troezen on the other part of the Saronic Sea to him. The little boy was growing up with his mother and would one day be a great king. Thus Ageus’ this action of giving birth to a hero in Troezen affected the advancement of the plot.
