in physics in motion in 1D whenever I solve a numerical which value I have to take of g positive or negative please help​

you can take either.

it basically depends on which direction you've taken positive x axis. if upwards direction is positive, then g becomes negative and vice versa

If the direction of motion is upwards then value of g is negative, if the direction of motion is downwards then g is positive

Example-

1. Ball is thrown down from a building ...

Here g will be positive

2. Ball is thrown upwards with velocity v ...

Here g will be negative
