In ΔPQR, PQ=10 cm, QR=12 cm, PR=8 cm. Find out the greatest and the smallest angle of the triangle.

The smallest angle = ∠Q

As per the question,

We have been given the triangle,  ΔPQR having sides are:

PQ = 10 cm

QR = 12 cm

PR = 8 cm

As we know

Sum of the two sides of the triangle is always greater than third side.

Now we can conclude that,

PQ + PR > QR

10 + 8 > 12

18 > 12

The largest side = QR = 12 cm

The smallest side = PR = 8 cm

Since we know that the angle opposite to largest side is greatest angle and the angle opposite to the smallest side is the smallest angle.

Hence, from figure,

We can conclude that

The greatest angle of the triangle Δ PQR = ∠P

The smallest angle of the triangle Δ PQR = ∠Q
