Heya !!

Let me explain you dear friend
===========================

In practices , the unit kWh is used for measurement of electrical energy rather than joule, as joule is a very small unit as compared to that of kWh. So it is easy to take kWh as the commercial unit of Electrical Energy.

Electrical energy is required to run the electric lamps, refrigerators, heaters televisions and other electric appliances. The department of electricity sells electric energy to the consumers in units called kilowatt hours (kWh).

If our electric bill shows that we have to pay for 10 units, then it means that the electric appliances of our house have consumed 10 kilowatt-hours electric energy.

So, 1 unit = 1 kWh

A kilowatt hour is the amount of electric energy consumed by 1000 Watt electric appliance when it operates for 1 hour.

kWh is also known as" Board of Trade Unit " (B.O.T.)
