If we take a positive odd integer as 'x', 'x+2' is taken because when a odd number is added with 2 it remains odd but when it is added with 1, it becomes even.
Numbers are alternative between odd and even
eg: 1 (odd), 2(even), 3 (odd)
We see here that the difference between two odd integers is 2 ( i.e. 3-1 =2)
Therefore if 'x' is an odd integer, 'x+2' will be the second consecutive odd integer

Two consecutive odd integer is (x,x+2) taken because the difference between odd integer is two i.e 1,1+2=3,3+2=5.....,and so on.
