The fungal spores are generally present in the air and grow on article (e.g. pickles, leather shoes, clothes , etc ) that are left in hot and humid weather for a long time.

During rainy season, they land on wet and warm things and begin to germinate and grow.

Thus, fungi appears on leather and clothes in rainy season.

We know that the most suitable place for fungus to grow is moist place and environment. During the rainy season there is an abundance of moisture all over. That's the reason we find everywhere fungus growing on most things like shoes and leather items.

Hope it helps........
