Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

A ratio beetween the base angle and the vertical angle of an isoscles triangle is 2:5.

To find:-

find each angle of the triangle.

Solution:-

Ratio of the base angle and the vertical angle =2:5

Let they be 2x and 5x

Suppose ABC is an Isosceles triangle with AB=AC

then angle B= angle C

Base angles are equal

angle B=angle C=2x

Vertical angle =angle A=5x

we know that

The sum of all angles in a triangle=180°

=>5x+2x+2x=180°

=>9x=180°

=>x=180°/9

=>x=20°

2x=2×20=40°

5x=5×20°=100°

Answer:-

The angles are 40°,40°,100°

Base angles are 40° each

vertical angle is 100°

Used concept:-

Isosceles triangle=

Two sides are equal then it is an Isosceles triangle.

In a triangle the two sides are equal then the angles opposite to equal sides are equal.
