In recent years, a number of supermarkets have come up in Indian cities. These supermarkets are a major attraction for people to buy goods in comfortable airconditioned stores at affordable prices. How do these supermarkets manage to sell vegetables at prices similar to common vegetable markets or mandis?

Answer:

Supermarkets buy vegetables in a bulk from direct from farmers. As they have storage facilities also, and the farmers also think that they have not to go tos sell it in city.So they sell their vegetables at cheap rates also.

And people who go to the supermarkets to buy other things they buy these vegetables also, as they get it in the same price , in same place which save time also
