ab and cd are the lengths of this rectangle and they are equal :

And thus :

2x - 5 = 5x - 14

-3x = - 9

x = 3

The length :

(2 × 3 - 5) = 1 cm

The width :

(1.6 × 3 - 3.9) = 0.9cm

Answer:

Length of rectangle and Breadth of rectangle are 1 cm and 0.9 cm respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given a rectangle abcd

Length of rectangle = ab = cd

ab= cd

2x-5=5x-14

14-5=5x-2x

9=3x

3=x

So, length= ab = 2x-5 = 2(3)-5=1 cm

Breadth of rectangle = 1.6x-3.9= 1.6(3)-3.9= 0.9 cm

Hence  Length of rectangle and Breadth of rectangle are 1 cm and 0.9 cm respectively.
