The value of angle ACD is 72°

Step-by-step explanation:

Gievn that \angle ABC = 72^\circ

\angle ABC = \angle ADC = 72^\circ'

(opposite angles of rhombus are equal )

since , we know that all the sides of rhombus are equal

therefore in triangle ADC , ADC is an isosceles triangle

now , in triangle ADC

AD =CD

\angle CAD = \angle ACD

(angle opposite to equal sides are equal )

therefore

\angle ADC +\angle CAD + \angle ACD = 180^\circ (angle sum property)

72+ \angle ACD + \angle ACD = 180\\\\2\angle ACD  = 180-72 \\\\2\angle ACD =108\\\\\angle ACD =54^\circ

hence , The value of angle ACD is 72°
