The correct answer is unbranched.

The photosynthetic zone in riccia is green, and dorsal on the upper segment of the thallus. It is comprised of certain vertical rows of unbranched photosynthetic filaments. All the cells of the photosynthetic filament in exception to the topmost one are isodiametric and exhibits various discoid chloroplasts.

In the photosynthetic filaments, the terminal cells are large, hyaline, and form loose, discontinuous, and ill-defined one-celled thick epidermis.

In Riccia crystallina the scales are inconspicuous and absent. In smooth-walled rhizoids both the inner and outer wall layers are fully stretched while creating plant body.

It is made of somewhat vertical rows of un-branched photosynthetic filaments.

It always lives in aquatic and plant body consists of an unbranched filament for consisting of numerous absent.
