First draw a triangle ABC, let AB be height, and BC be base and CA be hypotenuse
For Sin A BC will be opp and AC will be hypotenuse, so
1.) Sin A= opp/hyp= 15/17
For Cos A AB is adjacent and AC is hypotenuse
2.) Cos A= adj/hyp=8/17
For Tan A we want only opp and adj so BC is opp and AB is adj, so
3.) Tan A= opp/adj=15/8
hence proved

Solution:-
In ∆ ABC
- AB = 8 cm.
- CA = 15 cm.
- CA = 17 cm.
In Right ∆ :-
- Hypotenuse is the longest sides .
- Hypotenuse = CA = 17 cm
- \_B = 90°
