In right angle triangle PQR, Lp is right angle and PM is the altitude on the hypotenuse if PQ=8, PR=6 find PM

Area of triangle 1/2 ×b×h
=> ½×8×6 = 24 - - - eq 1

By Pythagoras Theorem
8²+6²=H²
64+36=H²
 \sqrt{100} = H
H=10
Thus, RQ=10 cm

½(RQ) (PM)=24 (from eq 1)
½(10) (PM)=24
5×PM=24
PM= \dfrac{24}{5}
Hence, PM = 4.8 cm
