In Ratheford experiment he take a gold foil that is very thin and made up positively charged helium ions which is perfect for the experiment and then he passed the alpha - particles on it the a-particles almost passed from it but when he passed 12000 a-particles then one remind that prove that atoms are empty but in middle there was a little positively charged nucleus
