'Sara sees red' is a short story by Brendan Wolfe.
Sara is a small girl, who goes to a small hill nearby to spend her time. She used to visit the hill every week by climbing the trail and when she reaches the summit she would sit under the sun and be lost in self absorption.
Sara's view of the mountain trail
- One day she happened to meet an injured woman on the trail to the hill.
- It changed her view of the trail, as she had been thinking that she was the only person visiting it.
- Sara was startled as she thought of the injured person as an intruder who had taken away her privacy.
- Sara had imagined that the trail belonged to her and the presence of the injured person showed that the mountain trail was not visited by her alone.
