In school X,the number of boys is more than that of the girls by 40%.In school Y ,the number of girls is more than that of boys by 50%.If 50% boys in school X is equal to 70% of girls in schools Y ,what is the ratio between the number of students of school X and school Y

In school x,let the girls be x,then boys =7x/5

In school y ,let the boys be y,then no.of girls =3y/3

Equate

1/2(7x/2)=7/10(3y/2)

So the ratio is 36:25
