hey dear,

In a closed room, the supply of fresh air is almost negligible and since for burning oxygen is required.
Due to the burning, the available oxygen gets depleted and it leads to incomplete burning of coal and it leads to the formation of carbon mono oxide which is very poisonous.
In addition, the burning of coal releases sulphur also which is a toxic gas.
Never sleep in a closed room with burning coal. Burning fire inside a room leads to rapid Oxygen depletion and built up of Carbon-monoxide gas. Sleeping in such a room makes you breathe a large amount of Carbon-monoxide which makes you unconscious first and then death may result.

Also burning fire can lead to accidents and your clothes etc might catch fire

when they burnt wood and closed the Windows then the amount of oxygen in the room become less and the CO produces by the wood so the CO combine with the haemoglobin and cause suffocation in the room due to lower concentration of oxygen and higher concentration of CO &CO2
