Akbar was the third Mughal emperor to rule from Delhi. He astanded The Throne at the age of 13 during the battle with sikandar shah, a descendent of sher shah who staked his claim to the throne. His early years were spent learning to fight and hunt, which helped him become a powerful and brave warrior, but he was an illiterate as education was not in consolidating his position. He neutralised the threat from sher shah's dynasty by defeating sikandar shah and annexing punjab.
