The amazon basin is a thick rainforest. For the first time Europeans arrived here and some settled here. But due to unavailability of living conditions they moved back Europe. Since then people tried to settle here but it is not as easy as thought. In spite of having a developed neighbour like USA it is still underdeveloped.

The following are the reasons why being one of the neighbors of a developed country like the USA ba-sin is not well developed:

1. There is an extensive variation between the climatic stipulations of the United States of America and the Amazon basin.

2. The area contributes difficult subsistence provisions owing to a hot and humid atmosphere.

3. It is also challenging to move upon. For instance, if anyone wants to move from one place to another he has to pass through the river. Besides, a few years back helicopters and aircraft used to move another place.
