In spite of being one of the neighbors of a developed country like USA,the Amazon basin is not well developed because:
◎There is wide disparity between the climatic conditions of the USA and the Amazon basin.
◎The region offers difficult living conditions owing to hot and humid climateIt is also difficult to travel upon.
◎Going from one place to another here generally involved navigating the river as well. ◎Moreover, until a few years back aircrafts, and helicopters are also used for reaching various places.
◎The vegetation of the USA and the Amazon basin is widely different. The thick rainforests here makes infrastructural development difficult.
