in spite of government's efforts, the percentage of girls getting secondary education in rural India is still very low . why? (HOTS)​

Answer: Main reason is illiteracy  i.e. people are uneducated.

Explanation: Some rural people think that females are just for house maintenance and not for studies. The elders think of it as a wastage of money and effort.
