In the 1700s, the concept of individualism was so important for Americans that rights were added to the Constitution in the Bill of Rights. the Constitution guaranteed people’s rights. rights were added to the Declaration of Independence. the Declaration of Independence guaranteed natural rights.

Individualism is communal viewpoint that emphasizes the moral worth of the individual. The concept of individualism were added to the Constitution’s Bill of Rights. This was made by James Madison that calls numerous states for better constitutional protection for individual rights.

Americas individualism can be defined in two ways . One is America being a unique culture in itself. Two are the American people who are found to be independent individuals. American culture is found to contain some several elements that are distinct. these are,  Protestantism, robber barons,Transcendentalism, capitalism ,democracy, and lastly independent individualism.
