in the above figure line PQ || side BC ,AP= 2.4cm,AB=9.6 cm,AC = 7.2. find AQ

=Ap/ab=aq/ac. (bpt theorem)

=2.4/9.6=aq/7.2. (substituting the values given)

Then cross multiply

=2.4×7.2/9.6=aq

Remove the decimal point

=24×72/96×10

=18/10

=1.8

Hence aq=1.8
