Mark Twain was a person of importance in Helen Keller s life after the two met over a lunch meeting in New York..... According to her , the author considered her as a handicapped woman who was trying to overcome her difficulties..... surprised by her intelligence and quickness Mark Twain sent a letter to Henry H Roger who was benefactor asking to make arrangements for funding Helen s education ...... eventually they shared a special friendship that lasted not just their political sentiments but also for common interests like travel and love for animals......
