In BCA, we have

\frac{BE}{EC}=\frac{BD}{DA}\:---(2)

From (1) and (2), we get

\frac{BC}{CP}=\frac{BE}{EC}\\Or \\\frac{BE}{EC}=\frac{BC}{CP}
