Step-by-step explanation:

Solution

(i) Here, ABCD is a parallelogram.

∴ AB∥CD

So, AB∥CF [ Extended part of parallel lines ]

∴ AB∥EF

Hence, ABEF is a parallelogram.

Parallelogram ABCD and parallelogram ABEF lies between same parallel lines AB and CF, having same base AB.

We know Parallelograms lies between same parallel lines and having same base are having equal areas.

∴ ar(ABCD)=ar(ABEF)

∴ ar(ABEF)=90cm

(ii) △ABD and parallelogram ABCD lies between same parallel lines and having same base AB

∴ ar(ABD)=

×ar(ABCD)

⇒ ar(ABD)=

1

×90cm

∴ ar(ABD)=45cm
