Angle b = angle c (base angle of isoceles triangle are equal )

bd =dc (given)

therefore Angle ABD = Angle ADC

and since these angles also form a linear pair

therefore,

Angle ABD+Angle ADC = 180 degree

2 Angle ABD = 180 DEGREE ( as Angle ABD = Angle ADC )

Angle ABD =90 degree

therefore

AD perpendicular to BC
