Sum of interior opposite angles = exterior angle
a + b = 5(x/2 - 1) + (x+9)
= 5[(x-2)/2] + x+9
= (5x - 10)/2 + x +9
= (5x-10+2x+18] / 2
= (7x+8)/2 = (a+b)
a + b = 5(x/2 - 1) + (x+9)
= 5[(x-2)/2] + x+9
= (5x - 10)/2 + x +9
= (5x-10+2x+18] / 2
= (7x+8)/2 = (a+b)
