In the adjoining figure:-

angle TRS = angle PQR = 65⁰ [Corresponding angles]

Now,

According to angle sum property of a triangle

angle TRP + angle PRQ + angle TRS = 180⁰

= 40⁰ + x + 65⁰ = 180⁰

=> 105⁰ + x = 180⁰

=> x = 180⁰ - 105⁰

=> x = 75⁰

Therefore the value of x is 75⁰
